Joint Norwegian-Swedish user group meeting takes place in Oslo

The 9th UGM in Norway brought together decision makers, industry experts, consultants and water modelling experts to share knowledge on various water modelling related issues and technologies for sustainable management of water resources. Close to 50 participants attended the event – a good platform for DHI experts, users and professionals to share and exchange knowledge and experiences through detailed presentations and discussions.

A number of key note speakers introduced important issues in the Scandinavian water sector of today.  The UGM included a mixture of presentations of new software features and technologies as well as practical case studies. DHI experts spoke on a number of MIKE software: WEST, DIMS.CORE, MIKE URBAN, MIKE FLOOD, MIKE INFO, MIKE PLANNING and MIKE OPERATIONS. They also took the opportunity to update attendees on the latest news in Coast and sea, Cities, and Water resources.

The event allowed participants to:

• learn about leading tools and techniques for modelling and management of projects
• get an overview of the upcoming MIKE 2016 release
• learn about MIKE solution templates that fit their needs
• exchange ideas with other industry professionals
• improve their knowledge and extend simulation skills 
• meet the DHI teams from Norway and Sweden
